2023 School Voters Guide: Briarcliff Manor

Voters in the Briarcliff school district will be going to the polls Tuesday. Here's what you need to know.

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, NY — Voters around Westchester County will be going to the polls Tuesday to approve their school district's budget, including the Briarcliff district.

Also on the ballot are elections for school board members. Trustee Tony Sammi is unopposed in his re-election bid.

Voters in the district are being asked to approve a $57,719,409 spending plan for the 2023-24 fiscal year. That represents only a 0.49 percent increase in the property tax levy. For the average homeowner in Ossining, with an assessed property value of $844,333, the estimated average school tax bill with the Basic Star deduction would be $15,465. For the average homeowner in Mount Pleasant, with an average full-value assessment of $938,000, the estimated tax bill with the Basic Star exemption would be $17,338.

The polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the K-2 cafeteria at Todd School.
