2023 School Voters Guide: Pleasantville
Voters in the Pleasantville school district will be going to the polls Tuesday. Here's what you need to know.
PLEASANTVILLE, NY — Voters around Westchester County will be going to the polls Tuesday to approve their school district's budget, including the Pleasantville district.
Also on the ballot are elections for school board members. Two trustee seats are up for election. The candidates are Lucas Cascardo and John Vamossy
Voters in the district are being asked to approve an $59,321,688 spending plan for the 2023-24 fiscal year. That represents a 2.43 percent increase in the property tax levy. It includes funding for a K-12 Social and Emotional Learning counselor, two additional teaching assistants and one full-time school psychologist.

"The budget is designed to continue supporting our schools and departments in attaining annual goals aligned with the Strategic Plan and the District’s mission. It also allows us to manage two areas where major increases have taken place – our utility bills and health insurance costs," Superintendent Tina DeSa said in the budget newsletter.
The polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the middle school.
