7-Eleven Offers Free Slurpees on 7/11

The 24-hour convenience store is celebrating July 11 (7-11) by offering customers one free 7/11-ounce Slurpee, the chain's signature frozen carbonated beverage.

According to a statement from the retailer, 7-Eleven has been giving away free Slurpees since the company’s 75th birthday in 2002.

The Slurpee has been around since 1967 and was named for the straw’s slurping sound.
