The Chamber's annual First Thursday Chili Cook-Off was held on Pleasantville Road in Briarcliff Manor on Thursday. Under sunny skies, businesses, retailers and restaurants served delicious varieties of home-made chili for guests to sample and vote on.
Visitors enjoyed music as they strolled past the festively decorated storefronts adorned in a Cinco de Mayo theme. Recipes for the friendly competition included beef chili with cilantro, veggie chili with a side of guacamole and orzo pasta, and a roasted chicken chili. Ray Rahni's (Paint Track) beef chili was voted the favorite.
First Thursdays are themed events that are part of the Chamber's effort to give local businesses the opportunity to interact with the community in a different way than they normally do.
The next event is a Pet Parade scheduled for June 5, 2014. We hope you and your families will join us!
