UPDATE: Route 117 Reopened After Serious Accident

UPDATE 12:40PM: It could be past 2 p.m. before investigation and clean-up of the accident that closed northbound Route 117 between Route 448 and Route 9 is complete, state transportation officials reported.
New York State transportation officials report northbound Route 117 closed at 10:30 AM between Route 9 and State Hwy 448 in Mount Pleasant.
