Addressing Racism in Westchester

REPAIR Community Group Meeting On October 21st

All are welcome at the next monthly meeting of the Rivertowns Episcopal Parishes/Action on Inclusion and Race (REPAIR) community group on Wednesday, October 21st, 7:30 pm at Briarcliff Manor’s All Saints’ Church Parish Hall. Refreshments will be served.

We will be discussing theologian Howard Thurman’s influential book Jesus and the Disinherited. You are invited to read at least one chapter in advance and tell us about one insight, image, or observation that struck you. Also on the agenda: a presentation by members of Neighbors Link about their work with immigrants in northern Westchester county.

In addition, participants will share news about projects and programs to foster racial justice and infusion in our Westchester churches and communities. We are focused on the Westchester Rivertowns for now in terms of action, but will be working with Westchester County agencies and representatives. The group will continue to have guest speakers/participants from around the Metro region.
