Armed Robbers Hit Briarcliff Bank

The incident happened Friday morning.

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, NY — North State Road was the scene of an apparent bank robbery Friday morning at the Trustco Bank.

The incident took place at 10 a.m., when two men entered the bank branch in the shopping center at the corner of Route 9A and North State Road.

They displayed handguns and told the two employees to lie down on the floor, Briarcliff Police Chief Donald Gorey said.

From witnesses and surveillance footage police believe the men were white or Hispanic; one was wearing a black hoodie and one a grey hoodie.

The robbers got an undetermined amount of money and drove off, headed north on Route 9A in a silver Nissan.
