Better Forecast This Week For The Apple Tasting!
Pleasantville Farmers Market is open Saturdays, 8:30am - 1:00pm

This Saturday we're kicking off the countdown to October 14th's Annual Apple Pie Contest with one of our favorite autumn events, the Apple Tasting! Wright's Farm and Mead Orchards are providing a peck of lot of apples (8 varieties). Our volunteers will chop those up to offer samples of each at our Health & Sustainability Tent. Learn which apples are best for applesauce, fresh eating, cheese plates, salads, and BAKING. Debate which apple is the best for PIES after tasting several ranging from tart to sweet in flavor. This is where you find your new favorite apple! And hopefully the variety you'll use for your pie in the upcoming Contest!
