BHS Literary Magazine Briars & Ivy Recognized for Excellence
Earning all gold medals and first places, Briars & Ivy continues to set the bar high!
Under the direction of alumni editors Farhaanah Mohideen, Dustin Qian, and Oyin Tukuru, the 2018 edition of Briars & Ivy won top awards in all five national literary arts magazine critiques:
- National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE)'s Recognizing Excellence in Art and Literary Magazines (REALM) Program--REALM 1st Place
- American Scholastic Press Association (ASPA)-- 1st Place
- Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA)-- Gold Medalist
- National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA)-- 1st Class
- Empire State Scholastic Press Association (ESSPA)--Gold Overall
