BHS Senior Receives Westchester Chemical Society Award
Matthew Tu Recognized for Academic Excellence in Chemistry
BHS Senior Matthew Tu has been honored by the Westchester Chemical Society for "Outstanding Scholastic Performance in High School Chemistry." He received the award at the Society's annual awards symposium on April 26.
Matt excelled in both honors and AP chemistry, and has served as co-president of the high school chemistry club. "Even during his freshman and sophomore years when he took chemistry, he demonstrated the insights of a college student," said chemistry teacher Dr. Robert Saar. "I am delighted that he received this award."
Matt will be attending the Yale University in the fall with plans to major in one of the STEM subjects.
