BHS Visual Art Students Receive Scholastic Art & Writing Awards
The longest-running, most prestigious recognition initiative for creative teens, and the largest source of scholarships for young artists.
BHS Visual Arts students have received outstanding results from the Scholastic Art and Writing Competition 2017-18. Founded in 1923, the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are the nation's longest-running, most prestigious educational initiative supporting student achievement in the visual and literary arts. The program has an impressive legacy of being the first to acknowledge creative talent and is today's largest source of scholarships for creative teens.
The Awards are presented by The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, whose mission is to identify students with exceptional artistic and literary talent and present their remarkable work to the world through the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Students receive opportunities for recognition, exhibition, publication, and scholarships.
