Big Slowdowns Coming: Sprain Parkway Bridge Project In Mount Pleasant
Details about the project and suggestions for mass transit from mid-August through November.
PLEASANTVILLE, NY — A project to replace a bridge on the Sprain Brook Parkway near I-287 is expected to have a significant impact on traffic. The project will shut lanes on the heavily traveled commuter highway starting in late August all the way through November.
It will replace a bridge over Payne Street (which is between Route 100C and Interstate 287); and, it will require lane reductions on both northbound and southbound directions.
The parkway is expected to be reduced from three lanes in each direction to two lanes in each direction beginning on or about Aug. 21, 2017, and is expected to last until Nov. 20, 2017, when traffic will be returned to its typical pattern.
