Blythedale Names Lane As Chief Development Officer
Robert R. Lane is joining the Blythedale Children's Hospital team as their new Chief Development Officer.

PLEASANTVILLE-BRIARCLIFF MANOR, NY - From Blythedale Children's Hospital: Blythedale Children's Hospital in Valhalla, N.Y. has announced the appointment of Robert R. Lane as Chief Development Officer. Mr. Lane brings more than 26 years of development, marketing and community relations experience to the position.
Most recently, he held the position of Vice President for Development and External Relations at Phelps Hospital in Sleepy Hollow. Prior to that he served as President of the Saint Francis Healthcare Foundation in Poughkeepsie where he completed a $15 million capital campaign, which financed the construction of the Hospitals' new level II trauma center. Mr. Lane also served as Executive Vice President for External Relations at EcoHealth Alliance, an international conservation organization focused on the field of conservation medicine. He started his career and spent 16 years at the renowned Culinary institute of America. As Vice President for Development, he led the successful completion of a $40 million capital campaign.
Larry Levine, Blythedale's President and CEO, welcomes Mr. Lane and looks forward to the next exciting phase of fundraising efforts for the Hospital. "We know that his track record, mix of skills and warm interpersonal style will serve Blythedale and our patients very well," he said.

Mr. Lane is a graduate of SUNY-Binghamton where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree (with honors) in Business Administration. He currently serves on the board of Richmond Community Services, the Cooperative Association of Foodservice Enterprises, and the Tarrytown Music Hall.
Veteran actor Paul Sorvino, best known for his roles in Goodfellas and Law and Order, has worked closely with Mr. Lane over the last two decades. “It has been a true pleasure to have worked with Bob as we raised funds together for the Sorvino Asthma Foundation, which in large part assisted young people with their treatment,” he said. “I am thrilled he will be applying his talent and skills to help the children at Blythedale.”
