Boy Rescued from Fall at Quarry at Cranberry Lake Preserves
The child suffered neck and back injuries in the 30-foot fall.

A 10-year-old boy who was hiking with his family Tuesday accidentally fell into the quarry at Cranberry Lake Preserves near White Plains and had to be pulled out by rescue crews, reports WCBS-TV.
The child suffered neck and back injuries in the 30-foot fall, which occurred at about 1:30 p.m., and he was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
He fell when rocks atop the quarry gave way. No other injuries were reported, and it took fire and rescue workers close to half an hour to lift him out of the quarry.
