Briarcliff HS Seniors Are 2020 National Merit Commended Students

They're among 34,000 students nationwide recognized for achieving exceptional scores on the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test

Thirteen Briarcliff seniors were recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation as Commended Students in the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program: (front row) Sophia Gifas, Katy Burns, Emma Smoler, Lauren Rogers, Stephanie Markowitz, Mark Rogers, Kevin Mani, Jack Dorkin, (back row) Fareed Mohideen, Christopher Arroyo (Nationals Hispanic Recognition Student), Lawrence Meng, Joseph Murray, Casey Lindemann, and Christopher Li.

They are among 34,000 students nationwide to be recognized for achieving exceptional scores on the 2018 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. They placed among the top 50,000 scorers of more than 1.5 million students nationwide who took the qualifying test.

Principal Debora French said, "Congratulations to these students on being recognized for demonstrating outstanding potential for academic success!"
