A number of federal patents were awarded to inventors in New York on Aug. 22, according to Targeted News Service.

  • K2M Inc., Leesburg, Virginia, has been assigned a patent (9,414,860) developed by six co-inventors for "devices, systems, and methods for performing spinal surgery." The co-inventors are Oheneba Boachie-Adjei, Briarcliff Manor, New York, John Kish, Pennsauken, New Jersey, Craig Kashuba, Exton, Pennsylvania, Jennifer Moore, Summit Point, West Virginia, Michael Barrus, Ashburn, Virginia, and Nicholas A.
