The Briarcliff and Dance Program is one of the few of its kind in Westchester. The program is offered to students in grades eight through 12, and at the high school level, students can earn credit towards graduation with an option to receive college credit.
Under the direction of Diane Guida, the program consists of daily classes which focus on the elements of music, movement and choreography.
"One of the major aspects that I think is really unique about the program is that it's really founded on dance as an art form," said Guida.

Each year, the students present a dance concert which features their own choreographed work. This year the program includes a wide variety of styles including classical Indian, hip hop, jazz, modern and contemporary pieces.
The concert, held on Friday and Saturday, was dedicated to former staffer Sandy Racioppo. A portion of the concert's proceed will benefit the Andrea Rizzo Foundation, which provides dance therapy to children with cancer and other special needs.
