Lauren Jacoby and Talia London weren’t intimidated as they tackled an independent project.

“It was really fun to write and direct,” said Jacoby. “It took us about two months to finish the whole production.”
“There were a lot of characters – a mom and a dad, four sisters and two brothers,” said London. “They go to summer camp and find an orange juice maker.”

Classmates helped London and Jacoby create props and costumes for the play.
Argentino said she encourages her students to pitch and follow through with independent projects and is proud of the initiative the two students took to bring the play to fruition. After a successful production, the two said they would offer simple advice to any students in the future looking to tackle a similar project.
“I feel organization is so important,” said London. Added Jacoby, “Don’t rush it, and make sure you think about everyone’s input.”
