Briarcliff Students Prepare for Annual Dance Concert
"Remember Me"' is the theme for the annual dance concert that will feature a variety of dance styles on Apr.14 & 15
Briarcliff middle and high school dancers are preparing for the annual dance concert, "Remember Me," which will be presented on Saturday, April 14 and Sunday April 15.
Briarcliff Middle and High School Educator & Dance Choreographer Diane Guida explained, “This year's concert features choreographer, Davyd H. Suber Jr. who created a beautifully flowing dance to highlight our graduating seniors. Families and friends will surely be brought to tears as the young women struggle to say, ‘Good-Bye to Yesterday’ in a piece entitled, ‘Remember Me.’”
The performance includes upper level female dancers paying homage to the women in Hollywood who peacefully participated in a Golden Globes fashion black-out to recognize and show their support for the #MeToo movement, a classic Indian piece, and an emotional trio of male dancers, among other great choreography from the students in grades 6-12.
Guida added, “We've survived ‘Snowpocalypse’ and the show must go on!!”
The annual dance concert will be held on Saturday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 15 at 2:30 p.m. General Admission seats may be purchased at the door for $10.
Discount group sales of 10 or more may be arranged by contacting Diane Guida at dguida@briarcliffschools.org or by calling 914-769- 6299 ext. 3132. Senior citizens receive free admission at the door.
