Briarcliff Manor People's Caucus Candidates Meeting: Video

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, NY — The People's Caucus held its annual Meet the Candidates meeting Wednesday in the William J. Vescio Community Center.

Aaron Stern reports that the Caucus members in attendance voted unanimously to endorse Lori A. Sullivan for Mayor; Mark L. Wilson and Bryan Zirman for Trustee as the Caucus’ candidates for two year terms commencing April 1, 2017 and Howard T. Code, Esq. for Village Justice for a four year term commencing April 1, 2017.

At the meeting the Caucus also elected Larisa Wayne-Paulmeno, Chair; Aaron B. Stern, Vice Chair; Louis Linder, Treasurer; and Clorissa Gioscia, Secretary of the Caucus’ Executive Committee for a term of one year.

The Meet the Candidates meeting will be televised by CableVision on Channel 15, Saturday, January 21 at 2:30 PM, Sunday, January 22 at 1:00 PM, Monday, January 23 at 10:00 PM and Tuesday, January 24 at 11:00 PM.

Village Elections are scheduled to be held March 21, 2017 from 6AM – 9PM. Nomination by the People's Caucus is tantamount to election; rarely is the slate even challenged.

The People’s Caucus of Briarcliff Manor is a non-partisan civic organization which encourages candidates to seek local elected office. Anyone resident in the Village of Briarcliff Manor who is eligible to vote in a general election is automatically a member of the Caucus, regardless of any political party affiliation.

The Caucus will hold a Wine Tasting Fund Raiser from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Feb. 11 at the William J. Vescio Community Center.
