Briarcliff Manor's Wake Robin to Close

Stop by the Pleasantville Road gift shop all this month for discounted merchandise.

One of the staples of Briarcliff Manor's Pleasantville Road business district will be shutting down next month.

, a gift and home furnishings shop, will leave a vacancy along the village strip, Owner Megan David announced.

"It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closing of my store, wake robin," David wrote to her email subscribers.

The email, quoted with permission, reflected on the few years the shop offered a variety of items—from baby clothes to lamps to scarves—in Briarcliff Manor.

"I am sad but grateful," David wrote. "Wake robin became everything I could have imagined it to be, thanks in large part to all of you. I want to express my warm thanks for following the store, for welcoming me into the community, for sharing your own goods and craft, for appreciating the select, and for reveling with me in the light, music, smells and feeling of the space. I have enjoyed sharing this moment with you, and will miss it."

While David prepares to close the unique shop in October, she said she will be offering the remaining merchandise at significant discounts this month.

"I intend to move as much merchandise as I can, so the prices are at their lowest...ever!" David wrote.

Wake Robin is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
