Briarcliff Middle School becomes Seussical this spring!
BMS to present Seussical Jr. the Broadway musical tribute to Dr Seuss and the Thinks we can Think

Students from Briarcliff Middle School are preparing for a lively performance of Seussical Jr. Based on the world-famous stories by Theodor Geisel – otherwise known as Dr. Seuss – and conceived by Lynn Ahrens, Stephen Flaherty, and Eric Idle, Seussical is musical journey through many of the best loved Seussian stories, including Horton Hears a Who!, The Cat in the Hat, Horton Hatches the Egg and Oh, The Thinks you Can Think!.
“Most of us need no introduction to the Seuss world,” said director Ian Driver, “since we’ve all grown up with the books, but in rehearsal the students and production team were reminded of the moral lessons that underpin these stories. Seussical celebrates the strength of character within the storyline without ever being preachy or losing its sense of humor, and for that reason it’s the perfect show for the middle school age group”.
Alongside such well-known songs as “Alone In The Universe,” “Notice Me, Horton,” and “It’s Possible,” the Seussical world is a celebration of color and choreography, with surprise interactive audience possibilities that makes it a great show for all ages. “We’re turning the Middle School Theater into a three-dimensional Seussical world” said Driver, “and we hope to take our audience on a journey that will leave us all – audience and cast alike – celebrating the power of Thinks!”.
