The Caucus Executive Committee issued a statement deploring an offensive campaign tactic:
An email missive that many consider derisive sent by a supporter of one of the candidates was circulated containing prejudicial, irresponsible and even bigoted comments. The Caucus, however, is steadfastly against indulging this kind of offensive sentiment.
Briarcliff residents once again have demonstrated that they believe in the Caucus mission and want to maintain the character of our small Village as a friendly place without the influence of political parties and negative tactics.
In Briarcliff Manor, winning the nod from the Caucus is tantamount to being elected.
Pohar is finishing his second term on the Briarcliff Manor Board of Trustees and Derose is finishing his first.
