Briarcliff Schools: Monday
residents without power can use Todd School Monday as a warming-charging-internet station

From Briarcliff schools Superintendent James Kaishian:
Dear Briarcliff Parents and School Community Members,
I hope this letter finds you comfortable and warm, but I am keenly aware that at this time, significant portions of the school community still remain without power. This is also true or our Middle and High school campus. This letter is intended to update you about our plans for the next 48 hours.

BRIARCLIFF SCHOOLS WILL BE CLOSED ON MONDAY, MARCH 5TH.
After surveying the damage and having conversations with our contacts at ConEdison, we have determined that Briarcliff Schools will be closed on Monday, March 5th. As the latest estimates have power scheduled to be returned mid-Tuesday, middle and high school closures could extend beyond Monday although we anticipate that Todd might be open for School on Tuesday.

WARMING/CHARGING/INTERNET STATION AT TODD 12:00PM TODAY & ALL DAY MONDAY.
To help our residents, we will open Todd School’s Multipurpose Room and Gym as warming, charging and internet stations today (from 12 PM through 8 PM) and tomorrow (from 8 AM to 8 PM). If you need to warm up, charge your phone, use the internet, use a bathroom or just hang out somewhere other than your house while the power is out, this is the place to be.
We will have security at Todd as well as extra custodial help. Please help us by staying in designated areas only.
Club Fit in Briarcliff has opened their showers and cafe to the community, they just ask that you bring your own towel.
SPRING ATHLETICS SEASON WILL BEGIN ON TUESDAY, MARCH 6TH.
Practices/tryouts will begin on Tuesday, March 6th. Further information regarding athletics will be forthcoming.
We’ll continue to update you via Twitter, our B-Button, our www.briarcliffschoolschools.org Website, phone and email, as we learn more.
Thank you for your continued patience and support as we work together to get through these hardships. I am continuously impressed by how the Briarcliff community comes together when needed and I feel privileged to be a part of these efforts.
Stay safe,
Dr. James Kaishian, Superintendent
