BMS and BHS students, teachers, and principal travel together to see classmates perform at Westchester County Center.

This year’s Westchester Ballet Company production of The Nutcracker features six BMS and BHS dancers. Julia Lucarelli 9th, Juliana Brown 11th, Cara O'Neill 12th, Emma Calame-Pennington 12th, Oyin Tukuru 12th, and Angelina Meng 6th (Pictured left to right in the front row; Angelina Meng not pictured) posed with their Briarcliff fans at the Westchester County Center.

Briarcliff Dance and Home & Careers Teacher Diane Guida said, “At this time of year there can be a tendency to think ‘The Nutcracker again...,’ but when I have students performing, I have a totally different perspective. I actually can’t wait to attending the production! When I get there, I'm thrilled."

Mrs. Guida (pictured third from left in the front row) coordinated the trip which enabled students and educators to the attend the production. She continued, "For some of my students it is their first time seeing the Nutcracker and they are in awe to finally see something they've heard about all of their lives. The students love seeing people they go to classes with daily, their amazing level of dance expertise, and the elaborate production elements that are a large part of the ballet. We walk away full of excitement and holiday spirit.”
