Briarcliff's American Red Cross Club Raises Funds To Aid Ukraine

March is Red Cross Awareness Month.

March is Red Cross Awareness Month and this year, the Briarcliff High School American Red Cross Club chose to support the humanitarian aid that the Red Cross is providing to those affected by the Ukrainian crisis.

Together in a collaboration with the Briarcliff High School Student Government, the club has raised close to $800.

According to the Red Cross website, there are more than three million Ukrainian refugees, as well as 18 million remaining in Ukraine who will need humanitarian assistance.

“We are so incredibly appreciative of the generosity of the Briarcliff community,” said club advisor Karen McCarthy. “Through these funds, we hope to provide the necessary aid that those in Ukraine so desperately need.”
