Jean Farrell 94, of Briarcliff Manor, NY, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones, on June 25, 2011, after a brief illness.
Farrell was born August 18, 1916 in St. Francis Maine to Charles and Stella (Sirois) Kelly. She was one of 18 children. She graduated from the University of Maine. Farrell worked for American Airlines in New York City. After completing her Masters Degree, she was an Elementary School Teacher for the White Plains Public Schools. Farrell was a volunteer at Phelps Memorial Hospital. She was an active member of Coveleigh Club in Rye for 36 years. Farrell was predeceased six months ago by her devoted husband of 60, Tom, of Briarcliff Manor. She is survived her loving daughter, Barbara of Chappaqua. No daughter had a more devoted and loving mother, and she was deeply loved in return. Farrell is also survived by her loving siblings, Roger Kelly of Mattapoisett, MA, and Paul Kelly of Ft. Kent, ME, and dozens of nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 11 a.m., at St. Theresa’s Church (1394 Pleasantville Rd.) in Briarcliff Manor.
