Looking for a welcoming place to slow down, create, and connect? On August 20, I'm hosting the first gathering of The Sketchbook in Pleasantville through Jumbled Joy Studio.We'll spend the evening exploring creative prompts and creating alongside one another in a relaxed, no-pressure environment. All experience levels are welcome—just bring your favorite creative supplies.

Sleepy Hollow High School

Pianist Wu Han, violinist Philip Setzer, and cellist David Finckel opened our 71st season and they are back, renowned for their exceptional chamber music performances. Audiences will recall Finckel and Setzer's long tenure with the legendary Emerson Quartet. Han and Finckel lead the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and the Music@Menlo chamber music festival in the San Francisco Bay area. Their all-Schubert program includes the Piano Trio No.1 in Bb Major, Op.99 and the Piano Trio No. 2 in Eb Major, Op.100. Socialize and meet the artists at our post-concert reception.

Demystifying Medicare&nbsp;is perfect for anyone trying to navigate our complicated healthcare system for older adults. The workshop is for people who already have Medicare, as well as those soon to be 65, planning their retirement, or assisting relatives and friends with their medical decisions.
Demystifying Medicare is offered as part of the ongoing work of the Westchester Library System to provide authoritative, actionable information that supports seniors in being connected and well-informed. In this free, engaging session you will learn about the various parts of Medicare and the costs associated with medical and drug insurance provided by the government and private companies.
Topics include original Medicare, Medicare Advantage Plans, prescription drug plans (Part D), Medigaps (supplemental plans), and cost-saving programs like EPIC that can help seniors with limited resources.
Come and get a handle on this thorny subject in a user-friendly atmosphere.&nbsp;The 2-hour workshop, followed by a “bring-your-own-lunch” Q&amp;A, will&nbsp;include some lighthearted interactivity and questions; pre-registration requested at (914) 666-7004.

Canadian violinist Duncan McDougall, South Korean cellist Yejin Hong, and Chinese pianist Yanfeng (Tony) Bai are the recipients of Friends of Music Concerts’ YCA Performance Award, having been named a winner of the Young Concert Arists Susan Wadsworth International Auditions in 2025. In addition, they were named the first Young Concert Artists Ensemble-in-Residence in 2025. Their program will include Piano Trio in A minor by Maurice Ravel, Piano Trio No. 1 by Jennifer Higdon and Piano Trio No. 2 in C minor by Felix Mendelssohn.
