Chamber Music Concert November 8

Free Chamber Music Concert in Pleasantville Nov. 8

The 39th Season of free chamber music concerts presented by the Pleasantville Chamber Music Society will kick off on Sunday, November 8, at 3:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church, 400 Bedford Rd., Pleasantville, NY. The PCMS is thrilled to present the Walden Chamber Players, one of the most exciting and versatile chamber music groups performing today.

The Program:

· Ravel/Salzedo: Sonatine en Trio in f sharp minor op. 30, for flute, viola, and harp

· Villa Lobos: “Assobio a Jato” (The Jet Whistle) for flute and cello

· Debussy: Sonate for flute, viola and harp Cello Sonata No. 2 in F major, Op. 99

· Chausson: Piece in C Major Op. 39 for viola and harp

· Isang Yun: Duo for cello and harp

· Bax: Sonate for flute, viola and harp

Founded in 1997, the Boston-based Walden Chamber Players mix the works of classical and contemporary composers. Their performances and recordings have established the Walden Players as one of the most sought-after chamber ensembles in the country. Performing the November 8 concert will be Marianne Gedigian, flute, Christof Huebner, viola, Ashima Scripp, cello, and Franziska Huhn, harp.

Free parking is available at the church, in nearby municipal lots, and on the street.

Since its founding in 1976 the Pleasantville Chamber Music Society has been supported by the business and professional community, and by individual contributions.
