Colasuonno Named Pleasantville Business Person of the Year

The award will be celebrated April 27.

PLEASANTVILLE, NY - The Pleasantville Chamber of Commerce's award for 2015 Business Person of the Year goes to Annette Colasuonno, owner of Lil’ Chocolate Shoppe.

The Lil' Chocolate Shoppe specializes in making personal, one-of-a-kind designed chocolates for all occasions. The store opened its doors in 1986 on Manville Road in the building that currently houses the Jacob Burns Film Center. The “Shoppe” moved to its present location at 15 Washington Ave. more than 20 years ago, chamber officials said.

Local business people, local government officials and other community members will join in the celebration at at a cocktail reception from 5:30-7:30 p.m. April 27.

Chamber officials said the even,t at Trattoria 160, 160 Marble Ave., will celebrate the 17th anniversary of these awards, whose recipients are selected by their peers in the business community for consistently demonstrating business excellence, vision, innovation, leadership and community spirit.

Sponsor of the award and the event, the Pleasantville Chamber of Commerce will present Colasuonno with a plaque in honor of the occasion. Hosted by president Bill Flooks, Beecher Flooks Funeral Home, the event also features a proclamation from the Village of Pleasantville by Mayor Peter Scherer and will be filmed by PCTV for broadcast on Cablevision channels 76 and Verizon channel 36.
