Con Ed to Distribute Ice in White Plains, Yonkers Today

Con Edison will continue its dry ice distribution in Westchester County today.

Beginning at 12 p.m., dry ice will be available at:

• Westchester County Center at 198 Central Ave. in White Plains
• Yonkers Raceway at 810 Yonkers Ave. in Yonkers

The company is reporting there are approximately 67,000 customers in the county still without power.

"Instructions for safe handling and disposal of dry ice are printed on the bag for residents who pick up dry ice," the company said. "Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide and should be used only in well-ventilated areas. Keep children and pets safely away."

There will also be personnel at the scene to answer customers' questions.
