Crafting A Great November
Pleasantville Farmers Market is open Saturday, 8:30am - 1:00pm

November brings a series of visits to the Pleasantville Farmers Market by regional craftspersons, with items developed on the farm, or made with a culinary theme. Saturday (and on 11/18) Alpacatrax brings wool from their own alpaca herd and finished wool items, including thick wool socks. All November The River Garden offers stunning dried floral items. This week, for one Saturday only, Tree Juice Maple Syrup arrives with delicious maple syrups, and attractive gift packaging. Living Edge Designs is in Saturday (and on 11/11 and 11/18) with terrific cutting boards. And speaking of cutting, Harper Keehn Knife Sharpening will visit this Saturday and next (11/11) to sharpen knives. So if you're decorating for the upcoming holidays, gathering gifts, or carving turkey later this month, remember the Market can help.

Phelps Health Tip:
Vegetable Of The Week Is Kale!
Lead Sponsor Phelps Hospital Northwell Health shares the following: “Kale is an excellent source of beta-carotene, vitamins C and K, as well as a healthy dose of calcium. Something many people don't know is that the leaves of vegetables are richest in nutrient content. The darker the leaves, the greater the vitamins and minerals. You can enjoy your kale many ways including raw, braised, sautéed, or in a soup."
