Creative Fundraiser: Performance to Benefit Ossining Children's Center
Here's how you can buy tickets or donate
A group of Briarcliff High School students is turning their love of dance and their support for the work of the Ossining Children's Center into an ongoing fundraiser.
The second annual Dancing for the Children fundraiser is April 24. This year it is being organized by eight students--Jasmine Bar, Emma Burns, Shreya Patel, Kelly Hooper, Komal Keerthy, Sarah Kaul, Madeline Elkes, and Kayla Owens.
The show is an event to raise money and awareness for the Ossining Children’s Center, which has been serving the area's families for more than 100 years.

It will feature performances from eight dance studios and ensembles in the Westchester area, and all of the profits from the ticket sales will go towards the OCC. The following studios will be performing:
- Dance NYAAD
- Westchester Dance Academy
- Steffi Nossen
- Natya Anubhava Academy of Classical Indian Dance
- O'Sullivan School of Irish Dancing
- United Martial Arts Center Demo Team
- Sri Baratha Kamalaya
- Bollywood Axion
"Last year, we were able to raise over $2,500 for the OCC from ticket sales and donations," said Patel, one of the organizers and a senior at Briarcliff High School. "This money was used to fund tuition for low-income families and field trips for the children. The ultimate goal of Dancing for the Children is to support this wonderful organization while simultaneously fostering appreciation for the dance arts. Dancing is a beautiful form of expression and we would love to have community members attended our event to support dancers and the Ossining Children’s Center."
