Locals will decide in a blind taste test organized by the county on Friday, May 10.

Could Briarcliff Manor's new water system give it an edge compared to the rest of Westchester County?

We will find out tomorrow when the village's tap water faces off against Cortlandt Consolidated Water District, Elmsford Village, City of Mount Vernon, City of Peekskill, Scarsdale Village, United Water New Rochelle, City of White Plains and City of Yonkers in the Westchester County Health Department's annual municipal water taste test.

If you want to weigh in—head to the Michaelian Office Building (148 Martine Ave. White Plains) tomorrow between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to sample water.

"Last year’s winner and the one to beat is Cortlandt Consolidated Water District," the county announced.

"This yearly drinking water contest is a fun way to draw attention to the excellent quality of our public water supply," said Sherlita Amler, MD, commissioner of health, in a statement. "It’s also a good time to recognize the local, county and state professionals who monitor our public water systems and ensure all our drinking water is safe."
