UPDATE: Route 133 Reopens in New Castle

UPDATE 3:16PM: Route 133 has reopened. Incident is clear, all lanes are open.

A downed tree has forced the closing Wednesday of Route 133 in the Town of New Castle.

The state Department of Transportation made the announcement at 11:25 a.m., saying the road will be closed for up to three hours.

The closure is between Quaker Road and Turner Drive.

For an eastbound detour, take Quaker Road to Seven Bridges Road to Turner Drive and then back on Route 133. For a westbound detour, take Turner Drive to Seven Bridges Road to Quaker Road and back to Route 133.
