New York State Police in Hawthorne arrested Shari A. Barnes, 28, of Albany, NY, at 7:59 p.m. Dec. 14.
He faces charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.
Troopers had initially come in contact with him when they responded to assist a disabled vehicle on the Taconic State Parkway.

Barnes, the vehicle’s operator, was found to be in possession of marihuana and a controlled substance.
Barnes was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Mount Pleasant Court Jan. 8.
