Bucky Pizzarelli celebrated his 85th birthday this year in style, playing five sold-out shows at the 92nd Street Y. One of the most revered jazz guitarists in the world, he has performed with a roster of greats from Frank Sinatra to Michael Feinstein, Rosemary Clooney to Sarah Vaughn, Les Paul to his own son John Pizzarelli.
FILM and Q&A JBFC Executive Director Steve Apkon will interview Pizzarelli and show clips from his career. He’ll also screen the short documentary The Seventh String, made by student filmmakers Lukas Arbogast and Leslie DelMastro through the JBFC’s "Unscripted" program.
Late-Breaking News! For the performance, Bucky Pizzarelli will be joined by his sons, John Pizzarelli and Martin Pizzarelli as well as jazz violinist Aaron Weinstein.
