The Teen Room at the Ossining Public Library (http://ossininglibrary.org/) invites class clowns in grades 6-12 to try their hand at improvisational theater and win fabulous prizes from seasoned professional comedians on Monday, May 16. The Teen Comedy Improv Competition will be held in the Budarz Theater with the competitions split into Middle School and High School-aged teams. The Middle School competition will be held from 4:30-6:30pm and the High School competition from 7-9pm. This program is free to the public and all are welcome to participate or watch the show. Budding Conan O’Briens and Tina Feys will compete in a variety of improv games for a panel of judges from Chicago City Limits, one of New York’s longest-running improv companies. The professional troupe will vote and first, second, and third place winners at the Middle and High School levels. Chicago City Limits settled in New York in 1979 and has shared the stage with comic legends from Robin Williams to Jerry Seinfeld. The troupe has appeared on a number of TV programs, including The Today Show, McLaughlin, The Joan Rivers Show, and Good Day New York and tours nationally.
