Vidal Sassoon: The Movie with NY Times Film Critic Q & A

Via Burns Film Center:

Born a poor Jewish kid in London’s East End, Vidal Sassoon never realized his dream of becoming an architect. Instead, he channeled his energies into revolutionizing the art of hairstyling, with his geometric, Bauhaus-inspired styles and “wash and wear” philosophy. This jazzy and fun documentary recreates the styles of the 60s and 70s with a fantasia of iconic, evocative images, and places Sassoon smack in the middle of it all. He’s now in his 80s and as charismatic and ebullient as ever.
