Debra Granik's raw, fresh portrait of hardscrabble life in the Ozarks features an incredible performance by Jennifer Lawrence as Ree, a 17-year-old trying to protect her younger siblings. With the reluctant help of her Uncle (John Hawkes), Ree must find her absent, drug-dealing father in order to keep her home and her family intact. The film won the Grand Jury Prize at last year's Sundance, and went on to garner numerous critic and Festival awards as well as Oscar nominations for Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Original Screenplay for Granik and Anne Rosellini's script.
Q&A director Debra Granik will be interviewed by JBFC's Director of Educational Innovation Holen Kahn.
