AN EXPLORATION OF BOTANICAL ART WITH SUSAN LANZANO

An introduction to seeing and drawing botanical art, Thursday November 12 at 2 pm, at the Briarcliff Manor Public Library

Ms. Lanzano will invite participants to see plants with the eyes of a botanical artist and to connect to them by drawing, as she provides a window into the process through which she creates art. Susan Lanzano’s exquisitely delicate watercolors offer a unique interpretation of botanical painting. Inspired by a lifelong fascination with the natural world, she works in a range of styles, from spontaneous Oriental brush painting on raw rice paper, to highly realistic detailed renderings in the Western botanical tradition. Susan’s artwork will be on display at the library during November.  Thursday, November 12 at 2:00 pm.  Briarcliff Manor Public Library, 1 Library Road, Briarcliff Manor NY 10510.  Tel:  914-941-7072.  www.briarcliffmanorlibrary.org
