Fall Is At The Market
Place preorders from our vendors Tues, 7:00pm – Thurs, 7:00pm. Then walk up Saturday, 8:30am – 1:00pm, to gather your preorders shop further

Fall fruits and vegetables, as well as foods from pastured animals, depend upon a full season of healthy soil, dedicated farmers and some luck with the weather. And we certainly do have great farmers who work season-long to bring our community the healthiest foods. This weekend toast the success of the summer season (which made our fall one so delicious) with one of the unique distilled items from visiting Cooper's Daughter Spirits or a glass of wine from Fjord Vineyards. Gather some artisanal cheeses and bread, sweet corn, fall squash or crisp apples to savor this first weekend of fall meals.
Out of cash at the Market? Use your debit or credit card to receive Market Bucks at the Manager's Tent. Please note Market Bucks are available from 8:30am until 12:00pm.
Last Saturday, 9/25 the Market had its final "buy two, donate one" Food Donation Day of the season. Shoppers generously took up the opportunity to buy extra items so they could add their donations to the weekly one our farmers make. The combined total included 688 lbs of fresh produce, 50 loaves of bread, cartons of eggs and more. All cash donations received are used by our partner Pleasantville Community Garden to purchase additional items from our farms. Food pantries such as Hillside Food Outreach and the Interfaith Emergency Food Pantry of Pleasantville promptly provide all food to those in need. Thank you to everyone who was able to support this event!

How to pick up preordered items?
- Early Saturday morning you will receive an email listing all items you preordered, organized by vendor.
- Preorders are collected from each vendor you preordered from.
- Vendor stands having sizeable walk up lines display a sign highlighting the location to collect preorders (usually near the register). At these vendors you can skip the walk up line.
- New this fall, emailed invoices clearly display applied payments and credits.
- If you have questions or an issue with your preorder email us at orders@pleasantvillefarmersmarket.org
Nearly all producers offer both walk up service and preorder pick up service. Exceptions are Gajeski Produce and Maple View Farm with full walk up service only in summer/fall. (All vendors and products will be again on PFM-O when we start our winter season at the Plaza in December).

WINTER MARKET WILL BE AT THE PLAZA
After Thanksgiving the Market closes for one week on 11/27. Then the Winter Market season opens on 12/4 and continues through March. Note the winter season has reduced hours (9:00am - 11:30am). Some produce vendors will require preorders. Walk up service will be available with most vendors. To help our producers serve as many as shoppers as possible in a shorter market day please consider preordering your items. With your support and PFM-Online we can continue to sustain year-round access to your favorite foods, every week (with a little luck avoiding snowy weather added in).
Phelps Health Tip:
Lead Sponsor Phelps Hospital Northwell Health shares the following "Fruits: How much to eat in a day? As part of a 2000 cal diet, the USDA recommends individuals include two cups of fruit each day". Easy during fresh apple season!".
Market Intern Program
The Market is accepting applications from area High School students for the Intern Program. For information inquire at the Manager's Table or email info@pleasantvillefarmersmarket.org.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Pleasantville Farmers Market remains committed to the health and safety of the whole community, including shoppers, vendors, volunteers, and staff.
Mask wearing for unvaccinated shoppers (including children under 12) is required, and all shoppers are requested to maintain physical distancing in the marketplace.
Because many our food artisans sell delicious treats that can be consumed at the Market, physically distanced tables and chairs are provided on our grass area for families to enjoy their treats together, mask-free.
The Market is monitoring guidance and will provide policy updates as needed.
