Headless Horseman Hayrides and Haunted Houses. Dare to discover a dark and supernatural world of the Coven of Witches that exist in Crows Hollow as you travel a one mile theatrical hayride journey . Expose their secrets and hidden desire to achieve the power to control the Horseman.
Yellow Orb/Homage to Van Gogh at Katonah Museum of Art. John Ruppert transforms prison-grade metal chain link into vessel-like forms that define volume yet remain ethereal and porous.
HALLOWEEN HAUNTED HOUSE at Queens County Farm Museum. Visit our Haunted House for thrills and chills! Hayrides, Halloween treats, mulled cider, pumpkins and apples will be sold. This event is recommended for children age 6-12. Adults will find it creepy too!
Irving’s ‘Legend’ at Philipsburg Manor. Featuring the Headless Horseman and Ichabod Crane. Flavored with live spooky organ music Kruks spellbinding storytelling captivates all audiences. This event takes place at the Old Dutch Church, just across the street from Philipsburg Manor.
Apple Picking at Wilkens Fruit and Fir Farm. The 2014 Harvest Season began September 6th with Apples.Ride the hay wagon to this weeks picking orchard (the location of which changes weekly as different varieties ripen). Pick fruit and fill your bag or basket.
Scared by the Sound 2014 marks the 15th consecutive year of Scared by the Sound Haunted House and also our return to Historic Playland Amusement Park.
Kevin McCurdys Haunted Mansion. Now its its 38th season The Haunted Mansion takes fear to a new level. The only attraction of its kind in America that has guests participating in ways never before experienced. Its not just a haunted house anymore!
The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze at Van Cortlandt Manor. See more than 5,000 individually hand-carved, illuminated jack o lanterns in this elaborate walk-through experience. Meander through an historic, 18th-century riverside landscape and discover a breathtaking displayall made of jack o lanterns!
My Gym’s Spooktacular Halloween Party! Join us for a spooky good time at My Gym Yorktown Heights! Games, songs, rides, goodies, and a special costume parade! Plus, explore our state-of-the-art gym!
ASTRONOMY NIGHTS: Pluto: The Battle for a Planet at Stamford Museum & Nature Center. Head to the Observatory to explore the night sky, planets, stars, and more!

Ghost Leaf Paper Lanterns at Teatown Lake Reservation. Work with fall leaves and flowers to create a ghost scene inside the lantern with leaf silhouettes. Guided by Strawtown Studio.
THE AMAZING MAIZE MAZE at Queens County Farm Museum. Ready to be amaaazed? To commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Star Spangled Banner, we’ve chosen an American flag design for this year’s Amazing Maize Maze. Kids and adults alike will have fun finding their way out of this 3-acre corn labyrinth!
PUMPKIN PATCH at Queens County Farm Museum. October is pumpkin month at Queens Farm. Enjoy wandering through our patch to find your perfect pumpkin. A great farm adventure for the whole family!
CHILDREN’S DAY - A TINY TASTE OF TERROR at Headless Horseman Hayrides and Haunted Houses. The park tones down its scare level, offering a daylight hayride with a friendly storyteller telling scary tales.
Annual Halloween Train Show at Lasdon Park. Annual Halloween train display and haunted house featuring “Area 51” theme, with displays of UFOs in Westchester and a variety of spooky sights.
FALL FESTIVAL at Harvest Moon Farm and Orchards. Come celebrate the beautiful Fall season. Open every weekend throughout September and October and Columbus Day!
