WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — A project to mitigate Saw Mill Parkway flooding in central Westchester will begin Nov. 1 in Mount Pleasant necessitating lane closures and detours.

A 1.3-mile stretch of roadway will be constructed to divert water from the road and prevent settling. Also, new bridges on the parkway over the Saw Mill River will be elevated to meet 100-year flood projections.

During construction, lane closures will be required: Northbound and southbound between Exit 26 (Sprain Brook Parkway) and Exit 30 (Grant Street), traffic will be down to one lane in each direction at all times.
