Fresh, In Season & Right Off The Farm!

The recent summer heat has hit the accelerator on our growing season. Our farms will arrive Saturday with a big harvest of super fresh items including just picked cherries (sour and sweet), strawberries, raspberries, head lettuce, baby squash, beets, carrots, garlic scapes, fresh garlic, cut flowers and more. Kriemhild Dairy Farms will return to the Market Saturday (located next to Buddhapesto). Weekly vendor The Peanut Principle is in, but note they will move toward the main entrance (next to Hudson River Apiaries). Spirits Lab will visit with their NYS distilled spirits and premixed cocktails to go. Unfortunately Neversink Farm is unable to arrive this Saturday (everyone's fine), but our three other vegetable farms will have plenty to cover. The best quality produce is fresh, in season, and right off the farm. And our producers have worked hard this week so that you can take your pick from so many delicious options. Masks Are Mandatory & Other Guidelines To Shop
Help the Market remain a safe and efficient place to gather food. Masks are required to be worn while at the Market. Please send only one member of the family to shop. If arriving as a couple, bring enough reusable bags so you can splitting up shopping tasks. Do not use the Market at this time as a family outing as we must limit the number of people in the marketplace, and shopping is meant to be brief and purposeful. Your adherence to these shopping guidelines assists us in keeping the Market open to support residents and vendors alike.

Absolutely avoid the Market if you are sick. Especially so if you exhibit any symptoms of the COVID-19 virus (temperature of 100° or above, a cough, a sore throat, shortness of breath). VENDOR HIGHLIGHTS FOR SATURDAY

Kriemhild Dairy Farms Is Back!
Kriemhild Dairy Farms will be in, located near Buddhapesto, with a full line of Creme Fraiche, grass fed Meadow Butter, Bakers' Butter, Cultured Meadow Butter and they'll also have grass fed skim milk.

Spirits Lab
Spirits Lab from Newburgh, NY, uses NYS grown grains and botanicals to produce small batch craft spirits including a gluten free vodka, gin, bourbon and rye. They'll have those for sale Saturday, ready to drink cocktails (such as a Rose Lemonade - in collaboration with Angry Orchard), and they'll have their hand sanitizer too.

Demi Olive Oil
Demi Olive Oil is highlighting they will have a very limited run (seventy two 250ml bottles) of Aborgina olive oil. This oil is from their first crop of Aborgina olives, newly planted on the farm in Greece. All fresh EVOO is high in polifenol content (the organic compound known to have antioxidant effects) but Aborgina is higher than most. Join Demi in evaluating this new oil!

North Winds Lavender Farm
North Winds Lavender Farm will be in Saturday with fresh lavender scones, lavender syrup, their potted lavender plants and more.

Kiernan Farm
This week, pork country style ribs are on sale at $9.75/lb (reg. $13.25/lb). Beef sirloin tip steaks are discounted to $18.50/lb (reg. $21.50) and on ground beef, buy 5 one pound packages at $10.75/lb, get $10.00 off the total for your ground beef.

Spice Revolution
Spice Revolution says "Season what’s in season". Their featured spices are vintage merlot sea salt, Thai ginger sea salt and gochugaro Spicy Korean Chili flakes. Perfect for seasoning salads, garlic scape pesto, broccolini, peas, as well as cherries and strawberries.

Forward Roots
Forward Roots is back with their fermented kimchi sauces, kimchi kraut, kimchi slaw, kimchi rice bowls (to go) and more.

Fruit Report
Mead Orchards notes that their strawberry season has passed but they will have tons of sweet cherries this Saturday. Wright's Farm says they still have strawberries, they will have sweet cherries as well as sour, and they'll have raspberries too. Gajeski Produce has strawberries (and rhubarb), raspberries and maybe a first small batch of blueberries.

Pura Vida Fisheries
Pura Vida has doubled their staff at the Market with the result that shoppers can get in, get fish, and get home faster. Check out Pura Vida's new menu board to see the items they have available each week.

Simply Planted Greenhouses
Check out their Drop-n-Grows for shade or sun, 8" pots of zinnias and sunflowers, and 1 gal. pots of perennials.

Red Barn Bakery
