Pleasantville Middle School's Jazz Band played at the Senior Center on Wednesday.

Mardi Gras may not be until March 8, but students jazzed up the snowy downtown on Wednesday afternoon.

Decked out in purple, green and yellow, the 's patrons were treated to a special program by the Middle School's Jazz Band, made up of seventh and eighth graders.

Under the direction of Dorian Nuccio, who has headed up the jazz band's annual concerts at the Senior Center for more than a decade, the band impressed with a program of five selections during their lunch and recess hour.

At the end of the concert, Senior Center Director Virginia Pancotti presented Nuccio with a certificate to thank the school for the lively event.
