A Warm Welcome Awaits
The Market is closed this Saturday; Reopens indoors Dec. 2 at Pleasantville Middle School.

The leaves are down, and frost is in the fields. Perfect timing for the start of our cozy, Indoor Market season. In December and throughout the winter, when the weather outside is frightful, the Market inside will still be delightful.
From Opening Day next Saturday, December 2, throughMarch 31, the delicious good time is located within thePleasantville Middle School cafeteria, at 40 Romer Avenue. It's a great way to support regional agriculture and eat healthy, year-round - with plenty of warm smiles and community togetherness thrown in too.

Market Closed This Saturday
Between daily steps to ensure that their mesclun, fruit tarts, wild-caught seafood, fresh breads, and other items are ready for you on December 2, our vendors are getting a bit of time this week to reflect upon the success of another outdoor season.

Thanks!
Now that the 2017 outdoor season is in the books, we'd like to say a great big THANK YOU to everyone who has made the season a success: our farmers and food artisans (among the best in the region); our visiting musicians, activity leaders, food educators and culinary experts; our fantastic Sponsors and Business Supporters; our volunteers and Board members, and of course, our loyal customers. Thanks for coming back again and again, and for continuing to make the Pleasantville Farmers Market part of your weekend ritual as we continue through the winter.
New Hours: 8:30am - 1:00pm
In previous seasons the Indoor Market opened at9:00am. This year its hours match that of the outdoor season so the Market is now open Saturdays 8:30am – 1:00pm, year-round. And please, we ask even our most eager early birds to adhere to the 8:30am start to allow our vendors the opportunity to prepare.
EVENTS IN THE COMMUNITY
This Weekend: Small Business Saturday
Help small businesses do more business this holiday season, starting with this weekend's Small BusinessSaturday event. The Market is a Pleasantville-based not-for-profit, proud to be a part of the great attractions that make Pleasantville a wonderful place to visit and to live. We encourage community members to check out the many places to shop and dine in our Village by visiting the Pleasantville Chamber of Commerce site. Many of these businesses contribute directly to the Market asBusiness Supporters and we've listed them below with live links. While supporting these businesses, let them know you appreciate their support of the Market.
The Market THANKS the following local businesses for being 2017 Business Supporters of the Pleasantville Farmers Market:
Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture
Twin Jewelers of Pleasantville
Gleaning Event Friday, November 24
Last year the Pleasantville Community Garden held a gleaning event at Hilltop Hanover Farm. 50 volunteers arrived and harvested 2000 lbs of vegetables which were donated to food pantries in our area. They are holding the event again this year. Here's a great opportunity to get your guests out and moving after your Thanksgiving feast! Email dwjuros@yahoo.com if you'd like more information about volunteering with the Garden. Kids and adults are welcome.
Have a great holiday. See you at the Indoor Market!
