Highland or Islay??

Or Speyside or Campbeltown?  Or perhaps Lowland?

On second thought, why choose?  Why not try a variety of all five Scottish whisky producing regions, perhaps one or two at a time?

Of course, we all have a particular favorite or two, but right now we’d like to showcase 2 lesser known single malts in the $40-$60 range.

Springbank Ten is matured in sherry and bourbon casks and is produced by 1 of the only 2 distilleries in Campbeltown; the Springbank Distillery.  It has a range of aromas and tastes of spices with a salty tang.    $54.00    http://www.springbankwhisky.com/springbank

Old Pulteney is known as the genuine Maritime Malt.  The distillery is one of the northernmost in the Scottish Highlands overlooking the North Sea.  Aged in ex-bourbon casts it has hints of brine with some sweetness and the finish is sea air with a touch of smoke.  $45.00      http://www.oldpulteney.com

Both are Double Gold award winning and won't break the bank.
