Place preorders from our vendors Tues, 7:00pm – Thurs, 7:00pm. Then walk up Saturday, 8:30am – 1:00pm, to gather your preorders shop further

This Saturday may be one of the nicest days of the summer at the Market. The weather is predicted to be sunny and pleasant (same for Sunday, and Monday too). Our farms have a huge summer harvest coming and our food artisans will also have great foods to offer. So clean up the grill, pull out your recipes and shop the Market -- it's going to be a great Labor Day weekend.
If shopping for Rosh Hashanah this week, our vendors have items that are traditionally sought for the holiday including brisket, chicken, honey, challah, apples, carrots, sweet potatoes and wine.

Please note our updated COVID policies for unvaccinated shoppers:
Masking:
- Kids under 12 and all other unvaccinated shoppers are required to wear masks while visiting the Market. (If you need a mask stop by the Manager's Tent at the main entrance).
If eating or drinking while at the Market:
- We ask that unvaccinated individuals make use of our grass area where we have physically distanced tables and chairs for eating.
Distancing:
- Please maintain 6' distancing while shopping, especially in busy vendor queues
The Market is monitoring guidance and will provide policy updates as needed.
MARKET BUCKS & REUSABLE BAGS
ARE BACK!
After a long absence (since March, 2020!) Market Bucks are again being offered at the Market. If you run out of cash while shopping stop by the Manager's Tent near the main entrance. You can use your debit or credit card to receive Market Bucks which can be used as cash with any vendor. Note: a $1 fee is applied for each transaction of up to $50.
Also, the Market now has reusable bags for sale again (one for $3; two for $5) at the Manager's Tent.
PFM-O OPENS
TONIGHT, 7:00pm
Click Pleasantville Farmers Market Online to begin shopping after 7:00pm tonight. PFM-O is open to place preorders until 7:00pm Thursday evening.
Nearly all producers offer both walk up service and preorder pick up service. Exceptions are Gajeski Produce and Maple View Farm (full walk up service only in summer/fall).

Margery of Conant Valley Jams says with summer is coming to a close she has made her Apple Pie Jam - a great Rosh Hashanah dessert with ice cream. She will also bring the first batch of this year's Ramp Infused Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Last year due to the pandemic Edgwick Farm didn't make their Funny Child cheese so it has been absent this year. Early this winter, cheesemaker Nathan diligently made 200 wheels with the first milk and then Dan washed it with a curated beer from Long Lot Farm Brewery in Chester, NY (Insane Cow, an imperial stout). Now aged six months, Funny Child is ready to come out of the cave and Edgwick Farm will have wedges of this unique cheese available this week.
Melissa's Health Hub will be in with their cold pressed juices and veggie chips (Note: they now arrive on the 1st & 3rd Saturday of each month).
Kiernan Farms has a SALE on pork Country Style ribs at $9.25/lb (reg. $13.25/lb). They have discounted their beef Tuscan sausages too, at $14.00/lb (reg. $17.00/lb). And if you buy 5 one pound packages of ground beef at $11.75/lb, get $10.00 off the total. They also have brisket for Rosh Hashanah - preorder yours in PFM-O tonight).
SallyeAnder uses seasonal ingredients for seasonal soaps such as their Apple Crisp essential soap - made with real apples and healthful for your skin. (Check out all their items in PFM-O).
For the first time this season Wildcraft Farms will bring their Rye Flour and Rye Berries to the Market this Saturday. Late this month they expect to also have Hard Red Winter Wheat (Check out all their items in PFM-O).
Woven Stars Farm has brisket and roasting chickens for Rosh Hashanah and grillable cuts and steaks in all types of meat for the Labor Day weekend (check out all their items in PFM-O).
Simply Planted Greenhouses returns this Saturday with plants for the fall!
Little Seed Gardens has delicious Certified Organic produce including crisp carrots, washed salad greens, basil and other herbs, perfect tomatoes and more - look through their offerings in PFM-O.
Pura Vida Fisheries has great, late summer seafood selections including oysters, Littleneck clams and mussels, black sea bass, flounder and yellowfin tuna for the grill. (They'll have yours waiting if you preorder in PFM-O!)
Pies! Want a fruit pie for this weekend's celebrations? Wright's Farm offers a diverse offering of 6" or 9" fruit pies. Red Barn Bakery will have Organic peach pies and apple pies, and they're also bringing Organic rugelach (raspberry, apricot and chocolate), honey cakes, and wheat free matzo ball soup. (Both producers have their offerings in PFM-O)
Fjord Vineyards and Cooper's Daughter Spirits will be in with their regionally produced wines and distilled items. Check out the work of these great producers in PFM-O tonight or stop by their tents Saturday for a sample.
Spice Revolution notes that roasting a chicken is by far the easiest way to make a simple dinner that impresses everyone. Gather poultry from Yellow Bell Farm or Woven Stars Farm and then stop by Spice Revolution for perfect herbs, spices and salts for roasting. (You can also browse and preorder their items in PFM-O).
Nina White of Bobolink Dairy & Bakehouse notes that this is the time of year to enjoy her Rosemary Epi bread, some creamy Baudolino cheese and seasonal tomatoes from our farms. Preorder yours or stop by Bobolink's tent to taste a sample first.
Tree Juice Maple Syrup makes their September visit this week (they'll have a limited supply of rare Roasted garlic Maple Syrup). Bombay Chutney Company has chutneys to enliven your grilled dishes. Strudel House is back with handcrafted strudels filled with seasonal fruits. Trotta Foods offers fresh pastas, Pika's Farm Table creates delicious soups, and our protein producers will have so many options for holiday meals. Check PFM-O to browse through all these options and more. There isn't a more delicious time of the year to support your farmers and food artisans.
