100+ musicians, four bands and one chicken.

The presented its Spring Band Concert Thursday night in the High School Auditorium, in front of a packed audience of family, friends and staff.

The sixth, seventh and eighth grade bands performed along with the school's jazz band.

The crowd was delighted by the performances, as well as when sixth grade band Director Christopher Melito made good on his promise to conduct in a chicken suit if the band won a gold medal in a recent competition. After explaining to the crowd that he was a man of his word, he headed backstage, while two students worked a stand-up routine before Melito re-emerged in full plumage for the final two songs.
